Meet the Presiding Bishop
Bishop Aycock is a lifetime Disciple of Christ, whose commitment to Christ is unquestionable. He descended from a long line of gospel preachers including his grandfather, Alfred Benjamin Aycock who served as Bishop and his father, Marion Lee Aycock who served as the District Evangelist of the Assembly. Bishop Aycock’s growth in ministerial leader-ship was formed through a strong spiritual walk and practical application.
In October of 1998 he was elected as the 17th Presiding Bishop in Succession of the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly, and was consecrated by the Late Bishop James Lee Melvin in January of 1999. During his 16 year time as Presiding Bishop he led the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly into its present 2.1 million dollar edifice, and spear headed many initiatives and efforts to continue to growth and development for the Goldsboro-Raleigh District Assembly. Bishop has travel to Ghana, West Africa and the Republic of Panama for 15 years. He is responsible for the birth and entrance of the Refreshing Hour International Assembly becoming apart of the General Assembly of the Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ. In April of 2014, God blessed Bishop Aycock to publish his first book entitled “The Anointing Makes the Difference.”
It is a blessing for Bishop Aycock to be allowed to share what God has placed upon his heart concerning growth and development of the church in this new millennium.
Bishop is married to the Former Tina Jenkins and they have been blessed with four children and six grandchildren.
